About the Role

  • We are looking for a skilled specialist to provide assessment and management of youth presenting via the youth justice system.
  • This is a key role that provides clinical leadership to Te Roopu Kimiora (TRK) and is an effective member of multidisciplinary teams in our Mental Health and Addiction Services.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • Provide high-quality clinical services to children and young people involved with the youth justice system.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to mental health and addiction services.

Requirements

">
  • Have or be eligible for specialist (or locum tenens) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) in a Psychiatry Vocational scope of practice.
  • FRANZCP and/or postgraduate qualifications specific to Child and Youth psychiatry are desirable, however happy to hear from those near completion of their studies etc.
