Chatham University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Office of Enrollment Management Team as an Undergraduate Admissions Counselor. This role plays a critical part in the recruitment and enrollment of undergraduate students, working towards achieving institutional goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing outreach, recruitment, travel, and student engagement within assigned territories. They will make regular reports concerning the status of recruitment and current enrollment of undergraduate students.

This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in admissions or sales-related roles, with a proven track record of meeting enrollment goals.

We are looking for a team player who can develop and maintain positive relationships with high school stakeholders, community-based organizations, and business personnel. Experience with SlateCRM system is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages outreach, recruitment, travel, and student engagement within assigned territory
  • Makes regular reports concerning the status of recruitment and current enrollment of undergraduate students
  • Plans own travel and conducts visits to high schools, college fairs, community colleges, and community-based organizations or businesses
  • Conducts Admission and Financial Aid presentations at on-site visits and manages proactive financial aid counseling with admitted students and their parents/guardians
  • Maintains proactive contact with prospective students and their families using all available communication tools
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with high school stakeholders, community-based organizations, and business personnel
  • Assists in all on-campus and virtual recruiting events
  • Counsels students and their families on programs, services, and financial resources available at Chatham University
