Delivering Culturally Appropriate Care
As a Community Health Specialist, you will work with whanau from all walks of life, providing culturally appropriate and personalized support. You will need to be adaptable and able to build trust and communicate effectively with different people.
Assessing Growth and Development
You will assess the growth and development of tamariki, using your skills and expertise to provide guidance and support to whanau. This may involve home visits, clinic appointments, and other community-based activities.
Working with a Multidisciplinary Team
You will work closely with a highly motivated and experienced team, including another Plunket Nurse and Health Worker. Together, you will deliver high-quality care and ensure that whanau have a safe space to share parenting challenges and celebrate successes.
About the Role
This is a permanent part-time role (0.8 FTE, 4 days a week). We offer a 6-week orientation with ongoing preceptor support to help you find your feet. If you enjoy working with pepi and are passionate about delivering high-quality care, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
