About the Role
As a Critical Care Specialist, you will be part of a highly skilled team at Christchurch Hospital, providing exceptional care to patients with complex medical needs. With 14 Intensive Care Specialists and a high level of medical education, training, and supervision, you will gain world-class experience with varied case mixes.

Your Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality patient care in the ICU setting
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans
* Participate in educational programs and contribute to the development of junior staff members
* Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental performance
* Contribute to the maintenance of high standards of care and adhere to established protocols and guidelines
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and families to ensure excellent communication and teamwork

About You
* PGY4+ with experience in Critical Care is essential for this role
* Airway management experience is desirable but not mandatory
* A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its principles is crucial for success in this position
* Strong leadership and communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration and decision-making
* Eligibility for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand is required
