About the Job

This Clinical Coach role plays a crucial part in providing clinical support and coaching for our nursing staff. As a Clinical Coach, you will work alongside less experienced nurses, providing guidance on care delivery for more acute and complex patients. This position requires flexibility with your roster, including working after hours and weekends.

About the Team/Service

Haumaru Ōrite is a supra-regional acute psychiatric child and adolescent mental health inpatient unit caring for patients between 0-18 years old. Within the same facility, Haumaru Ōrite also houses a specialist three-bedded Mother and Baby Unit providing inpatient care to people living in Waitemata, Auckland, Counties Manukau, and Northland.

Job Requirements

  • A NZ registered Nurse with a minimum of five years post-registration mental health experience, Level 4 PDRP preferred but Level 3 and those working towards Level 4 are considered.
  • The relevant post-graduate mental health qualification or working towards it, previous experience in clinical coaching or mentoring is desirable.
  • Understanding bicultural issues and commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori.
