Land Acquisition and Engagement Coordinator

This exciting opportunity is for a Rural Property Specialist to join our team at MERCUry. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with landowners, including Māori land trusts, generating assets, and future development sites. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong relationship management skills, commercial acumen, and experience in property transactions and appraisal.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Building and maintaining relationships with landowners, including Māori land trusts, generating assets, and future development sites.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with neighbouring landowners and engaging with wider communities where we operate.
- Supporting the business with contract negotiations for new property rights and managing or providing assistance with property acquisition and disposal processes as required.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Property, Valuation, or Natural Resources tertiary qualification.
- At least five years of relevant work experience, including property transactions and/or property management advice.
- Demonstrated record of relationship management experience, including iwi relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen, including valuation appraisal processes.
- Experience dealing with complex legal documents.
- Ability to work on cross-functional teams and lead external advisors.
