About the Role

An exciting new opportunity has become available to work as a Health Care Assistant in Intensive and Coronary Care at Rotorua Hospital. This role will include all general aspects of health care worker duties in the inpatient setting, including clinical care, equipment maintenance, and stock ordering.

The job will also focus on the HCA role providing care as a care companion, sometimes as one-on-one carer. The rostering for this position is across Day and Evening shifts 7 days a week and may progress to nights in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical care and patient support
  • Equipment maintenance and stock management
  • Working collaboratively with the healthcare team

About You

We are looking for applicants who possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility, and the ability to adjust to changing needs and priorities. A self-motivated and initiative-taking individual with the ability to work in a team environment would be ideal for this role.

Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of $60,100 to $70,358 pro-rated to hours worked. We also offer free staff parking, free flu vaccination, discounts with local businesses, and access to the Employee Assistance Program.
