Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate Procurement Strategist to lead all strategic procurement activities within the New Zealand business. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in relevant industry and a proven track record of delivering results related to cost and cash.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and process complexity by scoping and delivering cost improvement projects with minimal disruption to the NZ business and its customers.
  • Source, evaluate and select strategic local suppliers through negotiation, documentation and administration of supplier contracts and service level agreements.
  • Manage relationships with finished goods, packaging and logistics suppliers to ensure continuous improvement in the provision of goods and services to support business requirements.
  • Set up supplier management KPIs and review cadence.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of procurement experience in relevant industry.
  • A proven track record of delivering results related to cost and cash.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office capability, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Power BI would be a bonus.
  • SAP knowledge would be an advantage.
  • Valid unrestricted work visa.
