Your Opportunity

We are seeking a CAD/BIM Technician to join our team in our Water Division.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate on projects across North America, working with a variety of different projects and team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing engineering drawings for industrial infrastructure projects using Revit software.
  • Accurately reading and interpreting process and building mechanical drawings related to water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and mechanical piping systems.
  • Working with project managers and technical design staff to prepare 3D models and drawings.
  • Skillfully working in Revit projects, including maintaining multiple models, creating views, and accurate object placement.
  • Creating electronic data files in compliance with Stantec and client requirements.
  • Preparing presentation graphics and report figures.
  • Assisting the CAD/BIM Project Lead with project setup and coordinating project drawings with project managers, technical staff, and others using collaboration software such as ACC and ProjectWise.
  • Collaborating with other technical disciplines.
  • Ensuring that the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
  • Assisting with model reviews and collaborating with other technical disciplines using ACC and Navisworks.
  • Creating Renderings and 4D simulations.
Requirements

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience with Revit, ACC, and ProjectWise.
  • Strong communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities, and a willingness to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Highly organized, with significant attention to detail, able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Experience with additional tools, such as Plant 3D, Bentley Software, 3DS MAX, and rendering software, is considered an asset.
Education and Experience

Candidates should have:

  • An associate's degree or technologist diploma or technical school diploma/certificate in a related program, with a minimum of five to six years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Familiarity with water and wastewater treatment disciplines, and/or an educational background in these areas.
  • 5 years of related CAD/BIM experience with process mechanical systems.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a typical office environment, working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
