General Surgery Registrar Role Summary

About the Opportunity

The registrar will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. This includes participating in and facilitating teaching, assessment, and mentorship of medical students, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes, and contributing to research projects and academic initiatives within the department.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or eligibility for general or provisional general registration
  • A strong interest in surgery and a desire to pursue a surgical career
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
