We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Lotto New Zealand. As a key member of our IT operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our production, QA, and development environments.

You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the size of our production environments to meet business needs, ensuring they are backed up according to Lotto NZ's BCP guidelines. You will work closely with our Environment team, Development, testing, and release capabilities, as well as external partners to ensure our environments are fit for purpose and highly available.

A critical component of this role is supporting Lotto NZ's public cloud tenancies, adhering to and maintaining our stringent security standards. You will also be involved in incident management, ensuring all incidents are managed and escalated as per Lotto NZ's incident management process.

Your expertise will be sought after by our Platform Engineers, development, and QA teams to ensure alignment of processes and toolsets, facilitating knowledge sharing across teams. You will assist in capturing operations requirements in both functional and non-functional requirements and other design documents, contributing to a continuous improvement plan that underpins our technology roadmap.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically adept individual with a solid understanding of mid to large-scale complex software systems and continuous delivery principles. We are looking for someone with experience administering public cloud environments such as Azure, and a high-level understanding of networking principles.
