Job Summary

This role involves working in local schools to provide social work services that empower vulnerable children and teens to thrive. As a Family Support Coordinator, you will use your knowledge and skills to develop and implement effective interventions that promote resilience and well-being.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct home visits and school meetings to engage with families and develop support plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support
  • Deliver training sessions and workshops on social work best practices and cultural competency
Qualifications and Experience

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field
  • Current registration with the Social Workers Registration Board
  • A valid New Zealand driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Significant experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a school setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
