The Role

As an expert nurse, you will provide leadership and clinical advice to ensure culturally safe, evidence-based mental health and addiction care. You'll work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, handling complex cases and mentoring team members.

  • You'll assess and review complex cases, providing clinical input to our teams across Wairarapa Pathways and Real Services.
  • Your responsibilities will include leading special interest groups and mentoring nurses, while using advanced assessment and intervention skills to manage high-needs clients.
  • You'll take a leadership role clinically, both directly and indirectly, through direct contact with our clients and the wider addictions team.
  • Evaluating results of interventions using accepted outcome criteria, revising care plans, and initiating appropriate consultation and/or referral where necessary.
