Paediatric Intensive Care Consultant

We're seeking a specialist Neonatologist to join our Wellington Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team in a permanent position. As a Neonatologist, you'll provide high-quality medical care to infants from central New Zealand, including those requiring intensive care and surgical interventions.
Our NICU team is one of the largest in New Zealand, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork. You'll work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.
About The RoleIn this role, you'll be responsible for providing medical leadership and expertise to the NICU team, contributing to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols. You'll also participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities, enabling you to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in neonatal care.

The successful candidate will be vocationally registered in Neonatal-Perinatal medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ), FRACP or equivalent qualification, and CCPU or similar qualification and experience in performing ultrasounds (cardiac and cranial).
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical leadership and expertise to the NICU team
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver excellent patient outcomes
