Servicing the Region: With a population of approximately 48,000, we provide 24-hour acute and elective care in general and orthopaedic surgery, medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, ophthalmology, anaesthetics, and paediatrics. Our hospital has a seven-bed Paediatric ward and SCBU unit, where our dedicated team provides high-quality care to children and their families.
About the Role: We are seeking a permanent part-time Paediatrician to join our small but committed team. As a key member of our department, you will work closely with our Paediatric team to deliver exceptional patient care. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a supportive environment, while contributing to the well-being of our community.
Responsibilities: The successful applicant will be responsible for providing medical care to children, working across our Paediatric ward and SCBU unit. You will also be involved in clinical audits and peer reviews to ensure quality clinical care is provided. We encourage collaboration with neighbouring hospitals to enhance clinical excellence.
Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must have Vocational Registration with the New Zealand Medical Council or eligibility to apply. A strong commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork, and patient-centred care is essential.
