The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner with a special interest in oncology to join our acute oncology department as a Senior Medical Officer. As part of this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients undergoing chemotherapy, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and support to junior medical staff
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based guidelines and protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a vocationally registered GP or medical officer with the Medical Council of NZ, holding a current annual practising certificate. You will also need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
