Job Opportunity: We are seeking a Catering Assistant to join our team at the Air New Zealand Lounge in Palmerston North. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality food and beverage service to our customers, ensuring they have a memorable and relaxing experience.
Key Responsibilities: Your duties will include setting up, cleaning, and maintaining lounge areas, preparing and serving beverages, and assisting with the preparation and presentation of food items, adhering to food safety standards. You will also be responsible for communicating effectively with team members and customers to ensure a high level of service.
Requirements: To succeed in this role, you will need
- Experience in a similar role with good communication skills
- A flexible approach and attitude, being a good team player
- Physical fitness and reliability with a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Previous experience in a catering environment and NZQA Food Handling Certificate (Units 167 & 168) are desirable
