This role requires flexibility and a commitment to working early morning, late night, and weekend shifts. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to various schedules.
We are seeking individuals who are strong swimmers and dedicated to helping others. To become a lifeguard for Auckland Council, you must pass a swim test, which includes swimming 50m breaststroke, retrieving an object from the bottom of the pool, and treading water for 5 minutes.
Reliability, flexibility, and a commitment to working early, late, and weekend shifts are essential.
To work as a pool lifeguard in New Zealand, you must hold a Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate (PLPC). We will provide training and pay for your certification.
