Opportunity Overview

Cgr Services invites applications for a skilled Anaesthetic Technician to join our Level 8 Adult and Emergency Operating Theatres team at Auckland City Hospital.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified anaesthesia support health professional to contribute to delivering high-quality patient care. You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure positive patient outcomes, manage resources and equipment, and provide competent support to your team and perioperative practice students.

  • Provide professional assistance to anaesthetists and contribute to ensuring efficient and effective patient care delivery.
  • Manage resources and equipment for delivering 24/7 patient-centred care.
  • Work on a 24/7 rostering and on-call duties.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide timely Trakcare documentation to ensure efficient patient flow and discharges.
  2. Contribute to organisational goals for eliminating health inequalities for Māori and Pasifika patients.
  3. Demonstrate the values of Te Toka Tumai Auckland in daily practice.
Requirements
  • A relevant qualification, such as an experienced Anaesthetic Technician, ODP, or RNAA with minimum two years of post-qualification experience.
  • Current registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand or current APC with Nursing Council of NZ.
  • Flexibility, resilience, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent communication skills.
  • A proven track record of setting high ethical and professional standards.
  • An understanding of and ability to apply the Treaty of Waitangi principles.
