As a Financial Planning and Reporting Expert, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and success at WM New Zealand. You will be responsible for generating monthly management reports, performing profitability analysis, and contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes. You will also be involved in projects aimed at transforming our Finance function into a more automated and AI-powered entity.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare performance reports analyzing financial performance, identifying variances from expected results, and providing meaningful commentary for decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting Support: Collaborate with the Planning Team, Divisional Finance, and Business Unit management to gather financial data, develop forecasts and budgets, and provide input for decision-making processes.
  • Process Improvement: Understand business performance, systems, and processes, and recommend improvements or opportunities to optimize financial processes and enhance overall performance.
  • Reporting Capabilities Enhancement: Develop and expand reporting capabilities, focusing on delivering interactive and self-service reporting solutions to enable stakeholders to access and analyze financial information more efficiently.
  • Project Support: Support various projects within the organization, with a focus on automation and data enhancement initiatives, including implementing financial systems, streamlining processes, improving data quality, and contributing to the development and maintenance of financial models.
