About the Role

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team in providing support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a calm nature and be confident in working with challenging behaviours.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting individuals to enjoy great lives at home and as part of their community. This includes helping them to grow their independence, learn skills for daily living, manage daily routines, pursue their goals and interests, and stay healthy.

To be successful in this role, you will need strong written and verbal communication skills, physical fitness to provide necessary physical support, and a full New Zealand driver's license.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Assist individuals with daily living tasks such as showering, dressing, and medication management
  • Encourage and support individuals to pursue their goals and interests
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to provide comprehensive support to individuals
