About the Role: MBIE's Employment Relations team provides specialist advice and leadership on terms and conditions, employment policies, and complex employment relationships issues. This position involves providing high-level strategic and tactical advice, coaching, and training in the areas of employment relations, change management, performance management, and HR policy for stakeholders. Additionally, you will manage and support projects and working groups, collaborating with internal stakeholders, Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission, union officials, and delegates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on employment relations matters
  • Develop and implement employment relations strategies and initiatives
  • Manage and support projects and working groups
  • Build and maintain effective relationships across the P&C branch and other stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of experience and achievement in employment relations
  • Ability to work strategically and operationally
  • Confidence to apply skills across various HR disciplines
