About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Curriculum Expert Lead to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and has a deep understanding of the national curriculum.
Job Description
The Curriculum Expert Lead will work within a region to lead the effective delivery of curriculum and assessments to kura and schools. As a senior member of the team, you will:
- Coach and mentor Curriculum colleagues to support service delivery and ensure consistency.
- Take a strategic view of the level and nature of support required by Curriculum Advisers for them to enable kaiako, teachers and leaders to understand and implement the national curriculum, assessment changes and to design teaching and learning experiences that meet the needs of every akonga.
- Be a key conduit between the national curriculum team and regional integrated teams, and as such, will lead the planning and implementation of curriculum initiatives within the region.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
- To provide guidance and support to teachers, leaders, and educators on curriculum design and implementation.
- To develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including teachers, leaders, and other education professionals.
- To stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in education.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A deep understanding of the national curriculum and its application in educational settings.
- Proven experience in leading and managing curriculum development and implementation projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
Benefits
This is a permanent, full-time role which can be based in any of our local offices (Dunedin, Invercargill and Cromwell) and travel will be an expectation of the role. The salary range for this position is $118,371- $143,760 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver.
