We have an exciting part-time opportunity for a Cover Supervisor in Christchurch, working with students aged 5 to 16.
This role offers you the chance to be part of a school that fosters a positive, inclusive atmosphere, providing essential support to SEMH students and helping them succeed academically and socially.
Your Role as a Cover Supervisor As a Cover Supervisor, your main responsibility will be overseeing the classroom and ensuring students stay on task and engaged during lessons.
You will be providing support to students with SEMH, guiding them through their learning activities and ensuring their well-being throughout the day.
Key responsibilities will include: Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students remain engagedProviding support for SEMH students in both individual and group settingsEnsuring that students follow instructions and stay on task during lessonsOffering assistance to the classroom teacher and stepping in during their absenceSupporting students with their social and emotional developmentYour working hours will be from 8.30am to 3.30pm, ensuring a structured day that balances teaching support with student care.
The role requires excellent communication skills and a calm, empathetic approach to dealing with students who may face behavioural challenges.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
