Day One Hapai te Haeata Trust Board Member - Partnerships and Fundraising SpecialistWe are looking for a volunteer Trust Board Member to join the board of Connected Media Charitable Trust to help the organisation reach our fundraising goals.Connected Media runs Day One Hapai te Haeata - Stories for a better tomorrow, aiming to provide a supportive community that equips rangatahi with the tools, guidance, and opportunities to share stories on screen for young people in film.
Our programmes are run nationwide with our operational base in Tamaki Makaurau.We have recently launched exciting new branding, making it the perfect time to join an organisation that is full of heart and vision.
We have strong board representation in film, government funding, education, business, and accounting, but would benefit from the wisdom of a savvy connector to support the team in developing a diverse range of income-generating activities, including forming new partnerships and finding sponsorships.We are looking for a motivated individual who can commit to six two-hour board meetings per year, plus some hands-on time guiding and assisting the organisation in achieving our funding goals.We are committed to diversity and inclusion and honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and will adhere to these principles when selecting trustees.Expected Hours of Commitment6x 2 hour Meetings per annum1 Hour pre-reading per meetingUp to 10 hours a month advocating for the organisation and helping to grow our income streams.Key Purpose of the RoleDevelop and/or improve income-generating activities.Utilize personal networks to create connections that could lead to funding relationships.Coach the Day One leadership team and other trustees in fundraising techniques.Define leadership roles, set plans, policies, and maintain high ethical standards.Focus on long-term goals and maintain a helicopter view.Monitor and hold management accountable.If this role appeals to you and you have the necessary skills and experience, please email your CV with a cover letter to ******: Applicants must disclose all criminal convictions unless covered by the Clean Slate Act 2004 and be willing to agree to police vetting in accordance with our child protection policy.
