The Compliance team develops and implements risk frameworks, standards, and processes to enable Business Banking to comply with NZ and Australian laws. The team provides advice, guidance, and support across the ASB Business Banking, including to the Product team and Commercial, Rural, and Small Business distribution units.
As a Compliance Manager, you will support the team in ensuring that we are meeting our responsibilities and requirements from a legal, industry, and internal governance perspective across Business Banking.
You will be responsible for effective compliance advice, control development and testing, and the implementation of frameworks, policies, and processes, training, and reporting of adherence to appropriate compliance policies and procedures. You may also be involved in the development and implementation of frameworks to support changing regulatory requirements and new initiatives.
You will play a key role in building a culture committed to enhancing ASB's reputation, continuous improvement, and embracing change.
Key ResponsibilitiesTo be successful in this role, ideally you will have a background in the financial services industry either within a Business / Corporate environment, or in compliance.We are looking for someone with good stakeholder management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity and the unknown to be able to implement frameworks and policies.Ideally, you will have some knowledge and understanding of the regulatory environment and legislation, particularly in respect to CCCFA, FMCA (and FSLAA), and AML/CFT.Your strong commercial acumen and understanding of how complex commercial entities operate will enable you to provide risk-based advice and guidance to a wide range of stakeholders.Te mahi ki ASB | Working for ASBIn our diverse and accepting environment, our people grow their agile mindset, learn, evolve, and utilise their skills, while being empowered to make decisions.
