Our focus is on making a difference through bold thinking, collaboration, and delivering value for the communities we serve.About the roles – two Project ManagerWe have two Project Manager opportunities available:Permanent, full time role: Leading the delivery of high priority projects across the organisation.Fixed-term, full-time role: Through 30 June 2025, with a focus on delivering key projects within the set timeline.Both roles are part of a supportive and evolving team undergoing a capability uplift to enhance focus on critical activities and priority projects.As Project Manager, you will take ownership of managing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, to the agreed scope and quality standards.
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery, from developing key project artefacts and collateral to managing processes such as stakeholder engagement, change management, and risk identification.Key responsibilitiesYou will work with and support the Project Management Office Manager by:Executing key project processes, including resource and capacity planning, vendor management, scheduling, governance, reporting, financial oversight, and communication strategies.Creating and managing high-quality project documentation.Effectively identifying, escalating, and managing project risks and issues.Keeping all relevant stakeholders—such as the Project Sponsor and PMO—regularly updated on project status and progress.Supporting the PMO team in the development and implementation of project management standards, frameworks, processes, and templates.Taking on additional responsibilities as delegated to further contribute to the success of the team and organisation.You will bring:Proven experience in managing multiple high priority projects in dynamic environments.Strong relationship management skills with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights.Highly developed organisational skills and attention to detail.The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines.Experience or knowledge of the electricity sector, regulatory or policy-focused environments is desirable (but not mandatory).Why work for us?We support a healthy work-life balance and offer a range of benefits to support our teams:The starting salary for these roles is $109,304 and offered salary will be based on relevant skills and experience.A 3% net contribution to your Kiwisaver.Flexible working options.Ongoing training, support, and professional development to help you grow.Opportunities for career advancement.A range of health, wellbeing, and social initiatives including wellbeing and working from home allowances, access to Habit Health and EAP services for you and your whanau.Regular social events to connect with colleagues across the year.Are you interested?If you're ready for a challenge and want to help shape the future of electricity in New Zealand, click "Apply Now" and complete the online application form.In your cover letter, please identify which of these two roles you are applying for (or if you are applying for both).To apply, you must have a legal right to work in New Zealand at the time of submitting your application.We may start considering applications as they are received, so we encourage you to apply early.
