We are looking for talented and passionate individuals to join our business and be part of our success.We are looking to appoint a Design Manager to take responsibility for leading the design and implementation of a new UHT production line at our Meadow Fresh dairy manufacturing site in Christchurch.You will have oversight of the design of our strategic growth project, ensuring the delivery of a high quality, high performing production line which will expand our production and drive growth of our UHT business.Key responsibilities include:Identification and alignment of user requirements with contractor designs along with the preparation and delivery of written technical/performance specifications.Identification and management of design clashes to enable seamless design and implementation.Delivery and management of complete contract scope including on time, on budget, and exceeding minimum quality requirements.Holding contractors to account to meet business requirements for OEE, reliability and production throughput.About YouIn order to make this role a success we are looking for an experienced Design Engineer or Architect that has a track record of delivering projects in the Dairy (preferable) or Food manufacturing industries.Other experience, qualifications and skillsets we're looking for include:Qualification in Engineering or Architecture.Efficient preparation of scope of work documents and technical/performance specifications.Hygienic design experience, Safety in Design and HAZOP workshop experience.Experience with change management, design management, and an understanding of contract management principles.Capability with AutoCAD for 2D layouts is preferred.What we offerYou will be joining a driven team of professionals who genuinely enjoy working together, resulting in a highly collaborative environment.
