The department of Radiology at Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral is seeking an experienced Breast Radiologist to join our teamAbout the role and service:BreastScreen Coast to Coast (BSCC) is one of the eight lead providers for the national BreastScreen Aotearoa programme and covers the Taranaki, Whanganui, Hawkes Bay, Tairawhiti and MidCentral regions.We are looking to appoint a part time (0.8 FTE) radiologist to support our BreastScreen Coast to Coast (BSCC) Service.
Based at Palmerston North Hospital, BSCC covers the Taranaki, Whanganui, Hawke's Bay, Tairawhiti and MidCentral Districts.The successful applicant will ideally be accredited in breast screening and have experience in all forms of breast imaging, including mammography, breast ultrasounds, as well as ultrasound-guided biopsies.About our organisation:Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua – MidCentral is a 350-bed hospital in the city of Palmerston North, Manawatu, a city in the Lower North Island of New Zealand.
Palmerston North Hospital is a secondary hospital and offers most medical and surgical specialties with the exception of Cardiothoracic, Plastic and Neurosurgery.
The hospital serves a local population of 180,000 but is the base for a regional head and neck oncology service which has responsibility for a population of 550,000 and draws patients from Whanganui, Taranaki, and Hawke's Bay.
