We are looking for an individual who is an empathetic experienced support worker who is able to walk alongside a young man in his next chapter in life.You will be part of a small team who are passionate about providing a positive influence to a young man in his home. The team will be providing a safe home environment where he can learn new skills, independence and interact with others in his community doing the activities he enjoys.Benefits:A great working environmentYou will earn between $23.38 - $29.10 per hour, depending on your qualificationsFree yearly Flu VaccinationsRewarding work where you can make a positive differenceExtensive on-boarding and ongoing trainingCareer growth and advancementStudy days and MASH DayWork Schedule:This role is 40 hours per fortnight working:Week 1: Saturday 8am – 4.30pmWeek 2: Friday 4.15pm – 8.15am (the following day) and Sunday 4.15pm – 8.15am (the following day)About MASH Trust:MASH Trust are a leading provider of disability, mental health, and addiction services. We have services throughout the lower North Island with over 550 staff and volunteers.As a learning organisation we offer funded Health & Wellbeing qualifications and study days to support you with your learning. We work as one team, empowering each other to promote community inclusion and self-determination for those we walk alongside.Skills and Experience:A passion for people, be patient, friendly and kindPrevious experience working within the Disability or Mental Health SectorThe ability to understand and connect with others including complex behaviorsProfessionalism, honesty and be a reliable team player with a flexible approachEnergy, enthusiasm and enjoyment of the outdoorsFull NZ Driver LicenceA NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing or similar preferableApplicants will be reviewed as they are received so these roles may close earlier if the right applicants are found.MASH Trust is not an accredited Employer and therefore cannot use The Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) process.
