Mo tenei turanga mahi | About the roleWe are looking for an experienced Lead Print Advisor to join the Electoral Commission's Business Enablement team.
In this critical role, you will oversee and manage the Commission's end-to-end print activities, support internal teams with their print needs, and provide expert advice on technical print specifications and supplier management.You will be responsible for managing print jobs from concept through to delivery, working closely with both internal business units and external print suppliers to ensure high-quality, timely, and cost-effective outcomes.
This includes ensuring that all print processes align with procurement principles, maintain the Commission's integrity, and follow government guidelines.The Salary band for this role is $124,061 - $137,845He aha tau e mahi ana | What you'll be doing * Overseeing the full print process lifecycle and improving tools, templates, and workflows.
* Providing expert guidance, training, and mentoring on print processes and procedures across the Commission.
* Managing day-to-day supplier relationships, ensuring contract obligations are met, and negotiating competitive pricing.
* Leading the delivery of quality assurance measures and risk management in all print-related activities.
* Translating internal requirements into technical print specifications and sourcing the best solutions from the Print Panel and other suppliers.
* Maintaining documentation, records, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement and knowledge transfer.

Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and experience * At least 7 years' experience in the print industry or related field.
* Strong understanding of the print industry and contract management in the New Zealand government context * High level of computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
* Strong communication skills * Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
* Expert knowledge of, and practical experience in, printing processes and materials.
* Proven experience managing complex contract activities and maintaining effective supplier relationships.
* Skilled in analysing trade-offs between risk and operational delivery while maintaining integrity and compliance.
* A professional qualification in project management is an advantage.
