We are now seeking experienced and skilled Diesel Mechanics from New Zealand to join our team in Australia.Relocation Support:We understand relocating is a big decision.
That's why we provide relocation assistance, including visa sponsorship, flights, and temporary accommodation, to help you and your family settle into your new life in Australia.About the role:As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a vital role in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing our mobile plant and heavy equipment fleet, ensuring maximum reliability and efficiency to support the smelter's operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of heavy mobile equipment, including loaders, dump trucks, and support vehicles.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on diesel-powered equipment.Conduct routine inspections to ensure the safe operation and compliance of mobile equipment.Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and implement improvements to equipment performance.Maintain accurate service records and adhere to workplace health and safety standards.To Be Successful:A trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, or equivalent.Experience maintaining heavy mobile equipment in mining, industrial, or similar environments.Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.A safety-first mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team.A willingness to relocate to Australia and the flexibility to work in a heavy industrial environment.Right to work in Australia (NZ Citizen)Benefits:Competitive pay package with overtime opportunities and benefits.Relocation support, including visa sponsorship, flights, and initial accommodation.Work in a dynamic and supportive team environment at a leading Australian smelter.Career growth opportunities, including training and upskilling in advanced technologies.The chance to build a stable and rewarding career in Australia's thriving industrial sector.How to ApplyReady to make the move?
