This team is responsible for delivering the Tradify product experience and supporting various aspects of the business.
We need someone eager to make a significant impact on the business and in the daily lives of our incredible user base.This role involves gaining a deep understanding of the challenges faced by tradies and using that insight to create meaningful product experiences.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to define, design, and collaborate closely with the engineering team to bring these solutions to life.If you thrive on design thinking, a relentless pursuit of designing awesome user experiences, and ultimately helping people succeed, you're gonna fit right in.
On a typical day, you might do some of the following:Kick off the morning with coffee and a catch-up with a diverse range of team membersMeet with the Engineering team to share prototypes for a new mobile feature you are working onWork with the Research and Insights team on what we know about how customers carry out quoting through to invoicing to help paint the journey we are focussing onParticipate in a discussion about a customer problem and the process we will use to uncover a solutionReview engineering work and sit with a developer to finely tune the end result to ensure the user experience is as awesome as you had imaginedGo deep on a new solution for the latest cycle, discovering user needs, co-designing with tradies, and helping define technical specs to supply to engineersWhat is a Cycle you say?
Glad you askedWe work in what we call Cycles, which can last for a given amount of time - like 6 weeks.
Each cycle has a dedicated team to design, develop and test solutions that have been recommended to the business by Product Managers.
You'll work alongside both of these teams, ensuring the intended experience is delivered to a high standard using your awesome UX skills.RequirementsYou're going to be a great fit for this job if you:Have a bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experience in interaction design or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.Extensive experience in a leading-edge digital or UX design company and practicesA great understanding of concepts of interaction design, user testing and user experienceHave a foundation of design fundamentals such as typography, layout, colour theory, and brandingHave a technical understanding of HTML & CSS, responsive layouts and mobile app designAre focussed on the quality of the user experience as much as the aesthetics of the user interfaceEnjoy participating in a high-performance team-oriented environment to deliver sophisticated digital solutionsCan serve as a subject matter expert for user-centered design practices and UX designAre highly organised with great attention to detailHave excellent written and verbal communication skillsBelieve that tradies do important work and that supporting them to success is an awesome jobWant to do work that improves other people's lives, but also believe it should be funIn this role, you'll report directly to our Design Director, but beyond that, you'll be working across a Product team where everyone shares the same purpose and pitches in as needed.BenefitsTradify is a fast-paced, action-oriented and sometimes unpredictable and challenging work environment, where our company values underpin everything we do.
