Product Management & Development (Information & Communication Technology)Full timeRole Overview: The Applications & Products Lead is responsible for leading the development and application support team of 6. You will have led a similar team in the past, while actively participating in development and peer review when required. This role offers a cohesive approach to leadership, combining mentorship, and hands-on development to enhance team effectiveness, maintain high standards, and drive alignment with OSPRI's goals.Accountabilities:Leading and developing the Applications and Products team to ensure KPIs are delivered to the highest standard.Ensuring consistency of technical practices to architectural guidelines, coding standards, and development practices.Conducting peer reviews, utilising senior-level expertise to code assessments, enabling early detection of issues and fostering adherence to best practices.Translating business needs into technical requirements and prioritising tasks based on business value.Working with Vendor management to ensure in-house and managed services capability come together for a seamless IT service experience for OSPRI.Streamlined onboarding of new team members, providing technical guidance and context to new developers and ensuring they understand the Team's workflow and coding standards.Essential skills and experience:Relevant tertiary qualification and/or at least 7 years' experience as a software developer.Previous people leadership experience within a technical context.An understanding of the application of processes and procedures in achieving business outcomes.Data management experience.Understanding of source control.Experience with release pipelines and common CI/CD best practices in Azure DevOps.Demonstrates effective software project delivery reporting skills.An understanding of software release principles.Technology specifics of the team:Create executable code using C#, ASP.NET, Angular and other platforms when required.Proven ability in development using C# and the .Net framework and/or .Net Core.Experience in API development, REST and/or SOAP.Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically Azure.Knowledge of DevOps and automating build pipelines.Strong testing discipline building quality into your work.Building Robustness, Security and Performance into your coding solution.Infrastructure as Code Tools such as Terraform or Pulami.SQL Script writing skills.For a confidential discussion, please contact Daniel Heath at ****** note, all applications will be acknowledged electronically.
