As a Sewing Tutor, you will lead engaging and practical sewing sessions.
Responsibilities include: Teaching basic to advanced sewing techniques to participants.Assisting students in learning how to use sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques.Creating lesson plans and projects suitable for different skill levels.Encouraging creativity and confidence in students.Ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.Supporting community events by contributing to textile-related projects.Requirements: Proficiency in sewing, including machine and hand sewing.Experience in teaching or mentoring (preferred but not required).Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Passion for skill-sharing and community development.A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
Time commitment:
2-4 hours per week (in-person sessions, Saturdays).
