Referrals are received from paediatricians, the paediatric ward, neonatal unit, emergency departments, and sometimes primary health care.
It is a small service with three nurses working from New Plymouth and two nurses working from Hawera.About youThis is a designated senior nurse position and is best suited to an experienced registered nurse with paediatric and/or community nursing experience.
The ability to be flexible is a pre-requisite as the role requires a degree of critical thinking.
Due to being based in South Taranaki, there is less opportunity to work closely with paediatric nursing colleagues, but there are opportunities to feel part of a bigger team by maintaining links with paediatric nurses based in North Taranaki through email, phone, MS Teams meetings, and whole team meetings.
