ROLE SUMMARY: ESOL Teacher - fixed term, part-time (30 hours per week) to commence term 4 2024 ACG Strathallan is an exceptional co-educational, non-denominational independent school situated in the beautiful Karaka, Auckland. Our mission is to deliver an enriching holistic education that caters to the needs of 1250 students, spanning from Preschool through Year 13. We are in search of a dedicated and passionate Teacher of ESOL to become an integral part of our College team for 30 hours per week from term 4 2024 until end of term 3 2025. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational skills, thrive in a collaborative and supportive team environment, and exhibit a strong commitment to enriching the broader school community. Furthermore, they will bring a skill set that enables them to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and align with the overarching ACG educational philosophy.
ACG offers competitive remuneration above public sector pay grades. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach ESOL, ensuring you create an engaging learning environment. Cater to the varied learning needs and abilities within your classes to maximise student development. Develop excellent working relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. Ensure the effective use of technology in teaching and learning activities. Participate in wider school activities. Ensure student's welfare and safety in every moment. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: NZ Teacher registration with supporting teaching qualifications (BA and/or MBA). Experience in Teaching ESOL in a secondary school curriculum to a high standard. Well-prepared, inspiring confidence in students and parents. Flexible, committed, professional, hard working, team player.
