About the role As Team Leader Waters, you'll be at the heart of keeping our community connected to high-quality water services.
You'll lead a dedicated team of Water Operators, combining hands-on operational work with leadership responsibilities.
This role also involves stepping in to cover for the Manager Waters and Water Operators when needed.
Safety and wellbeing are paramount in this role, so fostering a proactive health and safety culture will be one of your top priorities.
What we're looking for We're after someone who loves working with people and thrives on variety.
You'll have a knack for inspiring and leading a team, as well as a solid background in water operations.
Key skills and experience include:
Previous experience in a supervisory role.3-5 years' experience in water, wastewater treatment, or reticulation operations.A good understanding of Three Waters requirements and legislation.The ability to provide expert advice to water operators, including on-call support.A solid grasp of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing principles.Tech-savvy, with skills in MS Office and SCADA systems.Oh, and let's not forget—a great sense of teamwork and a passion for making a difference in our community
