plus KiwiSaverMo te turanga - About the roleWe are looking for a casual Ophthalmic Photographer to join the Ophthalmology Outpatient Department here at Dunedin Hospital on an 'as and when required' basis.The primary responsibility of the position is to provide photographic and technical support, as well as associated administrative services for the Ophthalmology Department.You will be given the opportunity to utilise and develop a variety of technical proficiencies, and work with sophisticated technology in a friendly and supportive team environment.
If this sounds like the opportunity you've been waiting for, don't hesitate to apply todayTo be successful in this role:Have a positive 'can-do' attitudeBe open to new ways of working to provide patients with the most efficient and effective serviceHold a full, clean driver's licenceHold a level 4 certificate in Digital Photography (or higher) or be working towards thisPrevious experience in an ophthalmic or clinical setting preferredStrong understanding of ophthalmic terminology and proceduresExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsDetail-oriented with a commitment to patient careAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentPerform diagnostic tests, including visual field tests, OCT, and fundus photographyAdminister eye medications, conduct eye measurements, and blood pressure checksProvide patient education on pre- and post-operative careRecord and manage patient medical histories and examination resultsBe flexible in your availability as some occasional weekend work may be required including overnight travel to our rural centres from time to timeIf this sounds like you, then don't wait, get in touch today.Te Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities.
