At Cougar Group we offer a wide range of services including Regulatory services for various councils, Manned Security Services, Technician and Installation of all security systems, 24/7 manned Communication Centre, ID solutions and Afterhours response.
An opportunity has come about that we are seeking to support the Central Otago District Council with providing an Animal Control Regulatory Officer.
Your role will be to assist in providing a safe environment for the public through education, proactive patrolling, investigating dog complaints and enforcement to improve responsible dog ownership.
What you will need: Level 2 and 4 NZQA Animal Control or equivalent experience A current and clean New Zealand driver's license.
Knowledge of Dog Control Act 1996 and Impounding Act 1955 Knowledge of the Council's Dog Control Bylaw and Policy Compliance or investigative background or equivalent experience Have working rights in New Zealand - Sponsorship is not available for this role This role is a Monday to Friday 8am until 5pm and ideally based out of Cromwell/Alexandra (or surrounding areas).
Hourly rate will be reflective of proven experience and skills.
