The role focuses on the development of long-term partnerships with a key focus on growth through maximising the value of relationships via incremental sales, increased share, customer satisfaction and profitable revenue within a geographical area.
There is also a focus on driving profitable new business growth.Key responsibilities include:Administrative tasks to support customer and internal contract rate approval and reporting requirementsOperational and logistical support to manage specialist customer rental requirementsProvide exceptional customer service in the industry, by offering consistently high level of service to existing contracts with a view to retaining the business for the long termProactively pursue the acquisition of profitable new business through sales leads, researching new opportunities for lead generation and telephone prospecting activitiesPrepare rate strategies and present contract proposals, using negotiation skills to strategically obtain the best outcome for the business whilst balancing customer needsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with corporate travel management companies to sustain existing accounts and maximise their potential as a referral source of new businessMaintain and seek to improve the company´s competitive position and profitabilityAnalyse and collate data on customer patterns and competitor activity to uncover growth opportunities and predict future trendsMaintain positive and proactive communication with the assigned Sales Support team, Operations and departments at all levels within the businessLead tender opportunities within the sales territory by coordinating a professional written responseChallenge the status quo, identify process improvement and product enhancements for customersAdhere to deadlines and complete required reports to communicate weekly activity, and utilise and maintain an accurate customer database (Salesforce)About You?To be successful in this position, our newest team member will ideally have the following:Minimum 2 years experience in a Field Sales function, account management, working with a travel management company (TMC) or in the travel industry, government, or experience managing corporate customers in an operational/logistics environmentProven track record in exceeding KPIs and relationship building skillsExperience in working in a complex business environment, working with a detailed multi-layered product/serviceAbility to operate in a fast-pace and changing business environment.Strong and professional communication skills (verbal & written) and attention to detailPossess strategic thinking skills and ability to challenge the status quoRelationship building and negotiation skillsAt Hertz we pledge to provide a safe and supportive work environment for everyone.
