We are seeking a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to work in our Occupational Therapy team.
This role is predominantly a rotational inpatient role rotating through the main hospital wards including Medical, Surgical, and ATR (stroke/rehab), with input into Paediatrics and Critical Care as required.
This role is ideal for a new graduate Occupational Therapist or an experienced Occupational Therapist with an interest in inpatient services.This job requires working closely with other Occupational Therapists and Allied Health Therapy Assistants, as well as being part of a wider multi-disciplinary team.
Excellent time management, adaptability, and communication skills are essential for this role.
This role will report to the Clinical Manager Occupational Therapy.Our ideal candidate will have:You must be a qualified Occupational TherapistEnjoy working alongside other MDT members with a transdisciplinary team approach.Able to build strong relationships with clients, whanau, and community networks.Demonstrate leadership skills.Good communicator, both written and oral.Motivated to maintain a high level of knowledge and skill.Able to supervise students and junior rotational physiotherapists.Cultural sensitivity.Experience or potential for working in a hospital/DHB setting.Hold the legal right to work in New Zealand.Physically fit and able to lift (as per patient handling guidelines).Hold a New Zealand Drivers License.Ko wai matou | Who are weOur vision is He Hapori Ora - Thriving Communities, with our mission being 'to improve health and independence through a responsive and integrated health system'.
