We are growing at a rapid pace with a full service aged care hospital and apartment building in development so this role is only going to get biggerWhat You will be doing:LeadershipProvide leadership, mentoring and direction to team members, developing a high performing team to deliver exceptional customer service.Lead by example at all times, ensuring our people are supported and communicated with effectively.Setting weekly, monthly and annual work plans for all teams and team members.Manage and monitor staff performance against work plans.Ensure regular team meetings are held, 1:1 catch-ups to provide feedback, communicate company news with the team and discuss support or provide training needs.Responsible for labour resourcing requirements, recruiting, training, performance and managing disciplinary and performance concerns of the team with support from WBG and GM property.OperationsLead and manage people requirements.Model high standards of behavior.Develop team commitment and co-operation.Manage team performance.Coach and develop others.Ensure staff comply with all health and safety procedures.Develop and implement staff rosters.Purchase and manage stock supplies.Establish and implement an order and supply process.Establish and implement stock control systems.Receive and store stock correctly.Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.Communicate effectively in the workplace.Lead the team effectively, ensuring ongoing training is scheduled regularly.Display duty of care to yourself and others to provide safe working environment.Plan and organize all relevant training with staff that is needed.Financial reporting, weekly reports, stocktake, equipment etc need to be undertaken.Recruitment and onboarding – Liaise with the General Manager and Human Resources for all onboarding and recruitment with the responsibility of interviewing candidates.Any other duties within the gardening, landscaping and maintenance team as required and directed by management.Managing and directing the day-to-day operations of all teams and all financial targets to ensure financial targets are met.Identify new business opportunities and developing plans to capitalize on them.Establishing and delivering to budgets.Where necessary, preparing business cases to support capital or operational investments.Health and SafetyAdhere to health safety and security procedures, actively leading your team to have a sound understanding of these requirements.Directing the health and safety of your team, including pro-actively planning, managing, reviewing and monitoring practices to maintain a safe workplace and to comply with all H&S policies, requirements and legislation.Maintain your wellness, H&S within the workplace and support others to maintain theirs.Plan and oversee regular H&S meetings.OtherDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, suppliers and stakeholders.Ensure the business complies with all legal and statutory requirements.Conduct research and analysis to stay abreast of industry trends and developments.Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.Company with company systems – such as Hazard co, Timecloud, Ipayroll, Xero.Maintain and respect company property, equipment and plant.Any other reasonable, relevant and lawful duties as required or instructed by your manager.Qualifications and Skill RequirementsExperience developing and managing budgets - sound financial skills.Experience managing properties, land, gardens, buildings and both internal and external building maintenance.Prior experience developing, implementing and managing workplans.Prior experience at managing and empowering teams of workers.Must be an efficient multitasker, highly organized and detail oriented.Excellent communication skills, written, and oral proficiency in English.A well honed and experienced customer service orientation.A team player with the ability to motivate and sustain team members.Ability to give effect to the group's vision, mission and values.Ability to plan, design and execute landscaping development plans.Ability to plan, design, and execute on annual property maintenance plans, together with long-term plans.Ability to operate mechanical garden maintenance equipment and understand general equipment being fit for purpose.Applicants must have full working rights to work in NZ, and be based in NZ at time of applying for the role.No agencies please.Please send your CV to ****** by 9 December 2024.
