If so, then this is an exciting opportunity for youWhat You Will DoAs part of a globally recognised business, your primary role will be to ensure our people get paid the right amount, on time, every time. You will also be pivotal in improving processes and ensuring the data is the best it can be. As the employee expert for finance, your role will also encompass accounting for all things relating to people. Having recently moved to Datapay, there will be a lot of opportunity to make the role your own as well as possible future opportunities to take on other accounting related tasks.In this role, you will be the lead on various aspects such as:Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for Trimble New Zealand (400+ employees), including IRD returns, payments and correspondenceEnsure data integrity from Trimble's Workday (HR time tracking system) before loading it into Datapay (3rd Party payroll processing system)Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly and clearly to all payroll and people cost related enquiriesProvide technical payroll advice, and keep up to date with payroll related employment law changesTake ownership of the completion of payroll-related accounting, including journals, accruals and reconciliations.Review and account for payroll related costs, including health care, insurance, bike schemes.Lead and implement payroll process improvementsPrepare and provide working papers to Global and local auditorsCorrespond with Corporate departments in relation to Trimble's Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) and Registered Stock Unit (RSU) programsWhat Skills & Experience You Should BringStrong understanding of payroll legislationExperience in Datacom Datapay highly desirableExperience of accounting for payrollExperience in process change and or processing complex end-to-end payroll processes in a large organizationDemonstrable years experience in a payroll positionFamiliarity with Workday is advantageousIntermediate or Advanced ability to use Excel or Google SheetsAbout Your LocationBased at Trimble's campus in Christchurch, New Zealand (handily located on the Little River Link Cycleway) enjoy a great team environment where people love our outstanding culture, and you will appreciate our excellent employee benefits including a discretionary bonus, family medical and life insurance and income protection coverage as well as an active social club, an on-site gym, fitness programmes, and more.
