Are you an Editorial Lead / Writer looking for a new challenge in 2024? Someone who loves developing compelling ideas that will manifest into print and digital content for business, innovation, and marketing-led categories? Our client, a Kiwi-owned Media company, is looking for a talented professional to join their team. This role requires a high level of writing skill and attention to detail, a commercial mind, and the ability to develop compelling ideas for some of NZ's most well-read magazines. You will have the support of the Sub-Editor and a talented team of content producers. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing editorial leadership, coordinating a small dynamic team, maintaining and growing audience engagement, establishing and executing strategy for the titles, and creating commercial initiatives. They will also be able to create compelling ideas for stories, source and conceptualise articles for publications, and write in the appropriate style according to the publication and audience. Most importantly, you will be a hands-on, positive, and collaborative person with the ability to roll your sleeves up to crack the brief with something special. A sunny upbeat personality is key, balanced with a voice and opinion you're not afraid to share. You will also have the opportunity to learn and develop across providing B2B clients with strategic input on their publications and content strategy development. The breakdown: We are looking for an Editorial Lead with: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial, media, editorial, or agency environment Experience creating content for both print and digital channels Some key responsibilities are: Writing and editing compelling content for digital, print, and social media channels Provide editorial leadership across a number of titles Ability to develop editorial themes Confident in generating content ideas for digital and print publications Experience collaborating with fellow creatives and professionals to deliver compelling content (journalists, writers, photographers, etc) Confidence in managing your own work pipeline to deliver different projects simultaneously and at pace Create commercial initiatives and deliver profitability Ability and experience coordinating team delivery Ability to learn and grow within providing consultation across client-owned titles and content strategy development Are you someone who is… A creative activator and motivator on the rise Curious and passionate A focused multi-tasker The person who consistently corrects others on punctuation and grammar – and is not ashamed of it The reward: Salary of $100k - $120k + KiwiSaver Friendly, busy, and social team environment Apply today Got what it takes?
