ABOUT THE COMPANY AND ROLE Our client, a leading provider of comprehensive facilities maintenance and service solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join their growing team.
The company operates across a range of services, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, network operations, and electricity supply.
With continued expansion, they are focused on becoming a nationally recognised infrastructure services provider that delivers long-term value to shareholders.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Data Engineer to contribute to a dynamic and expanding company while advancing your career in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Develop insightful reports and dashboards using Power BI, including managing refresh schedules and utilizing Data Gateway.Design, build, and maintain efficient data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data.Perform SQL querying and data manipulation, with a solid understanding of SQL Server features and functionality.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate findings to non-technical audiences.Contribute to IT-related projects beyond data engineering, demonstrating flexibility in managing broader IT tasks.Essential Skills: Strong knowledge of data engineering principles and ETL processes.Proficiency in SQL Server, including data manipulation and query writing.
Experience with PowerBIExcellent communication skills for technical and non-technical interactions.Flexibility to assist in other IT-related projects as needed.Preferred Skills : Experience with Microsoft Fabric for automating ETL tasks.Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for managing existing packages.Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for maintaining legacy reports.Knowledge of SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) for managing simple data cubes.
