Additionally, ensuring the responsible serving of beverages at our snow bar is a key part of delivering a safe and enjoyable guest experience. Reporting to the Head of Department, you'll be a great team player who thrives in a positive work environment and works hard to achieve the best possible atmosphere for both customers and fellow staff. About the RoleThe Team Leader supervises and co-ordinates our Ice Bar operations and staff to ensure efficiencies and a consistent, high-quality food and beverage product and customer service experience - which exceeds our guests' expectations.Working with the Head of Department for training your team and supporting them in their role.Having regular check-ins with your team and taking feedback on board.Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests in the ice bar.Taking customers' food and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverage orders.Support the Food & Beverage Head of Department when requested.Working with the purchasing team to ensure a robust stock management process is in place.Working with the team to carry out small and large scale events.Working with the night crew to co-ordinate stock movements up and down the mountain.Participating in stocktakes and assisting in putting away new stock.Cleaning equipment such as keg/tap lines.Operating cash registers, accepting payments and preparing sales invoices.Ability to jump in and assist in any aspects of the department operations when required.Clearing away used dishes and cutlery from tables when customers are finished.About YouAt least three years of experience within a bar and/or hospitality environment.Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory role within a Hospitality environment.Outstanding customer service and leadership skills.Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume or multi-outlet café, restaurant or bar.Solid understanding with Point Of Sale including cashiering & end of day reconciliation.Experience with creating staff rosters to labour budget and managing the operation to meet varying business levels.Awareness of NZ Food safety standards & Food Control Plan requirements.Be committed to creating a Health and Safety Culture.Certificate in responsible service of alcohol - LCQ and Managers Certificate or equivalent.A degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is desirable.Must be proficient in Skiing or Snowboarding.Further InformationExpect a reply no later than January 10 2025.The 2025 Winter season will commence early June.This role is based at Coronet Peak or The Remarkables.As Kaitiaki of the mountains, we have an enduring commitment to our environment, people, and communities to ensure they benefit from our presence and as proud supporters of Winter Pride we've pledged to continue to provide a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.
