If discussing the components of Torque, Power to Weight Ratio, Camshaft and Combustion Chambers all day moves you then we have a role for you where you can talk and demonstrate about these topics and more.
This position, based at our Manawatu campus in Palmerston North, will require you to be passionate about getting your hands dirty, enjoy facilitating one on one learning, thrive off mentoring and motivating students, leading workshops and working with students individually and as a group, so your well-tuned rapport building and communication skills will be vital.
This is a permanent position ( hours per week.)
The successful candidate will need a minimum of a relevant industry qualification (National or New Zealand Certificate at Level 4) with a broad industry experience.
Proven involvement in teaching at a tertiary level or within an industry environment would be a strong advantage.
As well as working within a dynamic team you will have the full support of the Academic Portfolio Manager in gaining the NZ Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education (NZCALNE), the NZ Certificate in adult Tertiary Teaching (NZCAT) or equivalent and Unit 8 Work Based Assessor if you don't already hold these qualifications as well as other Professional Development opportunities.

Skills & Experience · Minimum of NZC in Automotive Engineering L4 (or equivalent Trade or Advanced Trade Certification) · An Adult Tertiary Teaching qualification and/or the NZ Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education and/or unit 8 workbased assessor or be working toward these
