A key role in Watercare, the Senior BA is responsible for developing ambitious and compelling outcomes to support, enhance, and improve the platforms at Watercare.
The Senior BA maximizes the value of the product and the work of the development teams by bringing together users and stakeholders.
This role requires a deep understanding of customers, digital opportunities, and Watercare's value proposition for its products, leading complex functional/process analysis to drive building, configuring, maintaining, enhancing, and eventually decommissioning products through their lifecycle.
You will be responsible for: Driving application value by leading complex functional/process analysis and development.Facilitating collaboration and workshops with cross-functional squads to co-design innovative solutions.Understanding the customer journey and translating it into user stories, designing solutions with a high-quality, effortless user experience.Driving business-led cross-functional iterative delivery and ensuring work is transparent and visible.Maintaining strong alignment to the ways of working and design/analysis practices across products.Influencing how Watercare products can enable new sources of value.Ensuring a positive customer experience and promoting a culture focused on meeting customer needs, facilitating regular feedback to stakeholders.Developing productive relationships with stakeholders to ensure business requirements are understood and executed as agreed.Staying connected across the business, understanding challenges and opportunities, and utilizing technology investments to deliver value.Gathering and using data/analytics/user research to make decisions and find incremental improvements in existing processes and activities to build product features.Maintaining the currency of the product feature backlog and ensuring it aligns with release objectives and your roadmap.Defining and refining the backlog of features and stories to ensure it is current with the next 3-6 months of prioritized features.Driving and enhancing the ways of working and development practices across applications.Accountability for value delivery and speed within the cross-functional teams.Applying technical expertise across products to support cross-functional squad members and delivery.Cross-skilling across core products and developing a strong understanding of the digital product landscape.You ideally have the following skills and experiences: Recognized and relevant technology industry qualifications.5+ years of relevant work experience.Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to communicate clear strategy and purpose.Enthusiasm for technology and a drive to achieve solutions and resolve problems quickly.Good appreciation for established processes but willingness to challenge them for valid reasons and better options.Understanding of information and data analysis requirements.Strong communication skills, capable of presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders.A curious mind, constantly asking 'why' and focusing on improvements that deliver customer value.We offer a competitive salary and staff benefits package including: Life and income protection insurance plans.Generous parental leave.Employee discounts at a range of large retailers.Discounted parking options.Free on-site gym.Me pehea te tono mai | How to Apply If you are looking for an exciting career opportunity with a fantastic team, please apply online today at www.careers.watercare.co.nz.
