Postdoctoral Fellow - Designing Future Productive Landscapes Support the Centre of Excellence in research, data collection, analysis, report writing, and publishing studies on livestock production systems.
We are seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow to conduct research in the Centre for Design Future Productive Landscapes within the Department of Agricultural Sciences.
This Centre aims to conceptualise design, create, implement and test alternative agroecosystems and other productive landscape systems that improve ecosystem-societal services, including timely implementation models that utilise Matauraka Maori to support and sustain te taiao, building ecological, economic, health social and cultural wealth.
You will be supporting the Centre of Excellence team in research management and development of Livestock Production systems studies, data collection and analysis, report writing and scientific article publication.
This is a two-year fixed term role working 37.5 hours per week based at our Lincoln Campus. Remuneration is set at $75,000 per annum.
To be successful in this role you will need:
A PhD in a relevant field such as animal, grassland science dairy production or farm systems, or similar fields.
Ability to work across a range of positions within the faculty and wider university, such as farm managers and staff, postgraduate students, technical and casual research staff.
Experience in data analysis with proven Excel, statistical and modelling skills.
Evidence of research interpretation, reporting and manuscript preparation.
Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with students and staff from a diverse range of backgrounds.
Effective organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
